Analyse the pictures   <\/h2>\n<p>Before\u00a0you begin describing the\u00a0charts, consider and analyse them\u00a0carefully:\u00a0look for general trends, changes, and key features to understand how you\u00a0will\u00a0structure your information\u00a0You\u00a0will also\u00a0need\u00a0to choose which information to\u00a0omit\u00a0and which to include in the response\u00a0Make a note of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Try\u00a0to find an interesting angle to look at a table or graph.\u00a0You\u00a0can\u00a0just start\u00a0\u00a0Can\u00a0you see if the time is showing on\u00a0the graph?\u00a0If\u00a0so, the time\u00a0is shown\u00a0in hours, days, weeks, months, etc.\u00a0Does\u00a0the graph show any trends: rise, fall, fluctuations, etc.?\u00a0The\u00a0line can\u00a0go\u00a0up or down, or the pie chart sections\u00a0are\u00a0different sizes\u00a0Do\u00a0you notice a sequence of events or steps in the process?\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For\u00a0example, in the flow\u00a0chart\u00a0Do the visual\u00a0elements\u00a0classify different types of things?\u00a0This\u00a0is\u00a0done in\u00a0tables or pie charts\u00a0Are\u00a0the numbers written in hundreds, thousands, millions, percentages, decimals\u00a0And\u00a0so\u00a0Another\u00a0way to approach the\u00a0images\u00a0is to imagine\u00a0that you\u00a0need\u00a0to\u00a0write\u00a0a report at a meeting or speak at a university seminar\u00a0about what\u00a0information would be most relevant to your audience\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3 &#8211;  Structure your answer<\/h2>\n<p>After\u00a0you have considered all the possible trends shown in the graph or chart, start writing your answer\u00a0We\u00a0recommend structuring it as follows:\u00a0 \u00a0If\u00a0you find that you do not have enough information to write 150 words, describe in detail everything that has changed in trends and add data from a graph or table\u00a0 \u00a0On\u00a0the other hand, if you have too much information to fit\u00a0into\u00a0150-200 words, try to pick only the most important trends\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 &#8211;
