1. Describe the company or organization you work for?<\/h2>\n

I work for the Energy Development Corporation\u00a0(EDC).\u00a0It\u00a0is a company that focuses on renewable energy\u00a0development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

2. What is your position?<\/h2>\n

I\u00a0am part of the geophysical\u00a0study team. I am a geologist<\/p>\n

3. What are your responsibilities ?<\/h2>\n

Our team is\u00a0responsible\u00a0for\u00a0determining\u00a0if a significant resource is present and\u00a0for collecting and\u00a0analysing\u00a0samples in the research\u00a0area.\u00a0<\/p>\n

4. What do you like about your job?<\/h2>\n

The best\u00a0part\u00a0of my\u00a0job is that I can travel and discover places\u00a0that\u00a0I\u00a0would otherwise\u00a0not be able to see.\u00a0<\/p>\n

5. What do you dislike about your job?<\/h2>\n

Doing\u00a0projects in\u00a0remote\u00a0areas means being away from my family for several days.\u00a0So I\u00a0don’t\u00a0spend a lot of time with my wife and kids.\u00a0I\u00a0miss\u00a0her\u00a0so much.\u00a0<\/p>\n

6. How many hours do you work each day ?<\/h2>\n

When I am in the field, I spend several hours traveling to the area, then the survey usually\u00a0takes\u00a0a couple of days and sometimes even weeks.\u00a0When\u00a0there is no fieldwork,\u00a0I usually work from 8\u00a0a.m.\u00a0to\u00a05 p.m. In the\u00a0office.\u00a0<\/p>\n

7. What would be your ideal job?<\/h2>\n

My ideal job is something that always brings something new to life, not repetitive monotonous work.\u00a0I’m\u00a0good at my\u00a0responsibility,\u00a0but I also expect some pleasant moments\u00a0in\u00a0my workplace.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8. Which jobs are the most respected in your country?
<\/h2>\n

In my opinion, these are highly\u00a0skilled\u00a0professional\u00a0positions,\u00a0such as in the fields of law, medicine, and engineering.\u00a0Usually,\u00a0parents encourage their children to undertake\u00a0those\u00a0careers, because\u00a0when working\u00a0in these domains, one always has a\u00a0good\u00a0salary and bright\u00a0prospects. I\u00a0specifically respect doctors,\u00a0as\u00a0they are not only hard-working professionals but also people who dedicate their lives to helping others.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9.Some people say it\u2019s better to work for yourself than be employed by a company. What\u2019s your view?
<\/h2>\n

Regarding\u00a0self-employment, I agree with a Chinese\u00a0billionaire,\u00a0Jack Ma.\u00a0It\u00a0is wiser\u00a0for young people to\u00a0first\u00a0look\u00a0for a\u00a0secure\u00a0position\u00a0in\u00a0a smaller company, as\u00a0the youngest\u00a0graduates\u00a0in large companies often\u00a0get lost in the large system and routine.\u00a0On\u00a0the contrary,\u00a0in a family business, it\u00a0is easier to\u00a0take\u00a0advantage of opportunities\u00a0and take initiatives\u00a0to seize them. As\u00a0you\u00a0grow, it is important to focus on learning and developing hard skills. When the subjective\u00a0limit\u00a0of learning\u00a0is reached,\u00a0one might reconsider career\u00a0choices\u00a0in favor of a more responsible place\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0larger\u00a0company\u00a0or even the difficult\u00a0journey\u00a0of entrepreneurship\u00a0<\/p>\n

10. What changes in employment have there been in recent years in your country?
<\/h2>\n

In our country the \u201centrepreneurship\u201d\u00a0has\u00a0rejuvenated:\u00a0More\u00a0and more people\u00a0are committed\u00a0to\u00a0starting their own business.\u00a0The\u00a0\u201cstart-up\u201d community is now more\u00a0vibrant\u00a0than ever, even college students\u00a0setting up\u00a0their start-up\u00a0company.\u00a0Although\u00a0there is a high failure rate of start-ups, people\u00a0still\u00a0take the risk and put their ideas into\u00a0practice Creation one.\u00a0<\/p>\n
