1. Do you work or study?<\/h2>\n

I am currently studying Biomedical Engineering at L.D College of engineering.<\/p>\n

2. <\/font>Where do you study?<\/h2>\n

I am studying\u00a0 at L.D College\u00a0 of engineering\u00a0 that is located\u00a0 at centre\u00a0 part of Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n

3. <\/font>What is the name of your college, OR university?<\/h2>\n

My college name is L.D College of Engineering and it is under Gujarat Technological University\u00a0<\/p>\n

4. <\/font>What subject are you studying?<\/h2>\n

Medical devices, and human biology are my 2 main subjects.<\/p>\n

5. <\/font>Which part of the course do you enjoy most?<\/h2>\n

I enjoy learning new things\u00a0each\u00a0semester.\u00a0The\u00a0project\u00a0that works\u00a0each semester is the part\u00a0that I\u00a0enjoy\u00a0the most. These\u00a0projects\u00a0allow\u00a0me to work in\u00a0groups\u00a0and\u00a0put into practice\u00a0the theories\u00a0that I\u00a0learn throughout the semester.\u00a0<\/p>\n

6. <\/font>Why did you choose to study that?<\/h2>\n

To be honest,\u00a0I\u00a0didn’t\u00a0choose this subject particularly\u00a0well. I\u00a0took\u00a0the university admission test in\u00a0the\u00a0business faculty\u00a0and based on my performance on the exam and interview with faculty members, I was offered this subject from their end.\u00a0I\u00a0wanted to study in\u00a0the commercial\u00a0faculty and now I feel very\u00a0happy\u00a0that I was offered this major.\u00a0<\/p>\n

7. <\/font>Is it a difficult subject to study?<\/h2>\n

In general, this subject requires extensive study, research, group\u00a0work,\u00a0and other academic activities.\u00a0In many cases, things\u00a0are new and challenging but I think\u00a0they can be conquered with\u00a0passion and\u00a0commitment. For\u00a0me,\u00a0it’s\u00a0a difficult\u00a0but\u00a0very\u00a0entertaining\u00a0subject.\u00a0<\/p>\n

8. <\/font>What is your favourite subject?<\/h2>\n

Business\u00a0is without\u00a0a doubt my favorite subject.\u00a0I\u00a0am very\u00a0intrigued\u00a0to discover the connection of this\u00a0topic\u00a0in our\u00a0daily\u00a0life and the global economic structure has made it more\u00a0complex,\u00a0yet more\u00a0fascinating. I\u00a0love to explore different theories and research on\u00a0the\u00a0subject and how\u00a0the economy\u00a0is all around us.\u00a0<\/p>\n

9. <\/font>What kind of school did you go to?<\/h2>\n

In my early childhood, I studied at a local English middle school and then my parents switched me to a government school when I was in the seventh grade. I was at a cantonment college and I finished my twelve degrees from there. I am studying at a great university that is one of the best public universities in my country.<\/p>\n

10. <\/font>What was your favourite subject at school?<\/h2>\n

Organizational\u00a0behavior\u00a0and microeconomics\u00a0were my two favorite subjects so far.\u00a0These\u00a0two subjects have built my\u00a0foundation\u00a0and\u00a0my love\u00a0for the\u00a0entire\u00a0course and I still find it fascinating.\u00a0<\/p>\n

11. <\/font>What is the best thing about your university OR school?<\/h2>\n

I love my university life, the\u00a0classes,\u00a0the friends,\u00a0the teachers,\u00a0the university\u00a0life, my freedom to do so many things and my participation in some\u00a0charities\u00a0organized\u00a0by the university are equally important to me\u00a0if\u00a0I have to select\u00a0the\u00a0best\u00a0of\u00a0myself.\u00a0university, I would choose my exposure to a diverse culture and academic life that has motivated and inspired me to do even better than I initially thought.\u00a0I\u00a0was exposed to life and\u00a0an era\u00a0that was unimaginable to me and that is the best part of my\u00a0college\u00a0life so far.\u00a0<\/p>\n

12. <\/font>What part of university life do you like best?<\/h2>\n

Well, I think my answer\u00a0above already\u00a0covers this answer, however, I would say\u00a0that I\u00a0enjoy most of my\u00a0college\u00a0life and my exposure to a whole new culture that I never imagined is the best part of my\u00a0college\u00a0life. a vision for my future and potential job sectors and I think this is the best part.\u00a0<\/p>\n

13. <\/font>What is the educational system like in your country?<\/h2>\n

I am glad you asked\u00a0that\u00a0question.\u00a0In\u00a0our country,\u00a0elementary\u00a0education is\u00a0compulsory\u00a0for\u00a0everyone\u00a0and is government\u00a0funded unless\u00a0someone wants to send\u00a0their children\u00a0to a private English\u00a0middle\u00a0school.\u00a0The\u00a0secondary and tertiary systems are also\u00a0administered.\u00a0Government-controlled\u00a0educational\u00a0institutions\u00a0are\u00a0cheaper\u00a0and\u00a0curricula\u00a0are presented and monitored by the education\u00a0authority. On\u00a0the other hand, the private educational\u00a0institutions\u00a0have\u00a0to\u00a0incorporate\u00a0some of the national\u00a0curricula\u00a0but\u00a0mostly follow their own\u00a0curriculum.\u00a0All\u00a0universities and many colleges\u00a0offer higher\u00a0education in English.\u00a0The\u00a0technical and\u00a0professional\u00a0colleges and universities are also popular in our country and\u00a0mainly\u00a0offer\u00a0certifications\u00a0and\u00a0degrees\u00a0in selected technical and practical\u00a0subjects\u00a0Private\u00a0universities are approved by the\u00a0government-controlled\u00a0bodies and have to follow their rules very strictly\u00a0I\u00a0am\u00a0pleased that\u00a0in\u00a0Many\u00a0changes\u00a0have been\u00a0made to\u00a0our education system in\u00a0recent\u00a0years,\u00a0and innovation and quality\u00a0of modern\u00a0education\u00a0are\u00a0a vision\u00a0that our\u00a0country has already started\u00a0to implement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

14. <\/font>What are your future study plans?<\/h2>\n

It will take me\u00a0about 7-8\u00a0months to\u00a0get\u00a0my\u00a0degree\u00a0and then I will try to get\u00a0admission\u00a0to a foreign university that\u00a0is\u00a0known\u00a0for\u00a0its better\u00a0education.\u00a0There\u00a0I will\u00a0do\u00a0my\u00a0master\u2019s\u00a0degree and get involved in a job. In\u00a0addition to\u00a0my job, I plan to\u00a0enroll in a professional MBS course to\u00a0continue\u00a0my education.\u00a0When time\u00a0permits,\u00a0I\u00a0would also\u00a0like\u00a0to\u00a0take\u00a0some\u00a0research-based\u00a0courses\u00a0that relate\u00a0to my academic background and\u00a0interests.\u00a0<\/p>\n

15. <\/font>What kind of job would you prefer after graduation?<\/h2>\n

I would prefer to work in a multinational company\u00a0that\u00a0offers\u00a0me a position related to my academic background and a positive work environment to learn and explore new things.\u00a0At first, I\u00a0wouldn’t\u00a0worry too much about my\u00a0title\u00a0and\u00a0my salary,\u00a0but the company\u00a0needs to\u00a0have\u00a0enough\u00a0room\u00a0for\u00a0further\u00a0professional development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

16. <\/font>What is your career plan after you graduate?<\/h2>\n

During\u00a0the first years, I will work in a multinational company.\u00a0Then\u00a0maybe 10 years\u00a0from now,\u00a0I will plan to start my own business.\u00a0I\u00a0would like to be an entrepreneur\u00a0instead\u00a0of working\u00a0in a company for the rest of my life.\u00a0I\u00a0know being an entrepreneur is not that easy and requires a lot of dedication and commitment, however, I would work\u00a0towards\u00a0this plan after\u00a0finishing\u00a0my graduation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

17. <\/font>Why are you taking the IELTS test?<\/h2>\n

I mainly\u00a0take\u00a0the test to\u00a0get\u00a0a band score\u00a0that I\u00a0need\u00a0to apply\u00a0to\u00a0the most\u00a0prestigious\u00a0universities in Australia or Canada.\u00a0Since I\u00a0am\u00a0planning to do my\u00a0master’s\u00a0degree\u00a0at\u00a0a\u00a0renowned\u00a0foreign university, the IELTS score is a\u00a0requirement.\u00a0To\u00a0prove my ability to\u00a0deal with\u00a0the\u00a0English language,\u00a0I need the score\u00a0in order to\u00a0even apply\u00a0to\u00a0these\u00a0universities.\u00a0<\/p>\n

18. How do you think that studying abroad is different from studying in one’s own country?<\/font>
<\/h2>\n

I think both emotional and logical factors come into play when differentiating the two. First, abroad one rarely has relatives or close relatives and they are alone, this makes students more responsible and independent. They learn to make decisions. Second, the curriculum in developed countries is updated more frequently compared to less developed or developing countries. This helps students to benefit better. Finally, while studying at foreign universities, students can learn about different customs, cultures, and traditions.<\/p>\n

19. What problems do you think students can face while studying abroad and why? <\/h2>\n

I think problems\u00a0arise\u00a0when things are not planned\u00a0well enough.\u00a0For\u00a0example,\u00a0some people cannot\u00a0take\u00a0too much cold without knowing the weather conditions of a country\u00a0where they\u00a0study\u00a0in\u00a0winter.\u00a0This\u00a0creates\u00a0problems\u00a0for them.\u00a0Even\u00a0more, for\u00a0example,\u00a0it’s\u00a0another factor\u00a0that\u00a0people\u00a0don’t plan ahead of time. People take\u00a0a course\u00a0at\u00a0a university without knowing\u00a0many\u00a0details about it, but when\u00a0they study\u00a0it, they realize the\u00a0gist\u00a0and tend to\u00a0settle\u00a0into\u00a0problems. However,\u00a0other problems\u00a0we\u00a0face are\u00a0homesickness.\u00a0I think language barriers\u00a0are\u00a0the other\u00a0problem,\u00a0even food\u00a0for some. But\u00a0I think\u00a0people\u00a0are\u00a0determined\u00a0that the\u00a0problems\u00a0seem small.\u00a0<\/p>\n

20.Do you think you will have many difficulties adapting to new culture ?<\/font>
<\/h2>\n

I\u00a0think\u00a0it would not be\u00a0very\u00a0difficult for me to adapt to a new culture as I am already exposed to\u00a0different\u00a0customs and cultures in my home country.\u00a0However,\u00a0adapting to a new culture is always a bit difficult, especially\u00a0when\u00a0it is very different from your hometown\u00a0culture,\u00a0but\u00a0I’ve\u00a0read about the\u00a0country’s traditions. And\u00a0I hope nothing would shock me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
